It’s been a turbulent time at Abingdon Town over the past few weeks. At half-time with Town 8-0 down against local rivals Abingdon Untied the players decided they had had enough and walked out on the club.

Since then The Abbotts have worked hard to register enough players to allow the club to fulfill its remaining fixtures.

The following nineteen players have registered with Abingdon Town in the last few days ready for their trip to Slough based Chalvey Sports on Saturday:

  • Dewayne Asante
  • Sam Bishop
  • Sean Gibson
  • Cameron Godfrey
  • Samuel Harris
  • Sebastian Katsande
  • Ayomide Kayode-Awolu
  • Jose Kelly
  • Tristan Lawrence
  • James McCarthy
  • Alex McLennon
  • Daniel Mundy Court
  • Jacob Ochola-Bolger
  • Gideon Osei Amadiah
  • Tyla Peck
  • Denzel Rickard
  • Ross Smith
  • Shea Sturgess
  • Declan Taylor

The game between Chalvey Sports and Abingdon Town kicks off at 3pm at Slough Town’s home Arbour Park.

For those interested in nicknames it’s a game between The Stabmonks (Chalvey Sports) and The Abotts (Abingdon Town), so surely the clever money would be on a home win?
