Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East Woodley United are searching for a new manager after Jon Laugharne stepped down.
Laugharne, in the post since the start of the 2018/19 season departed after Saturday’s 6-1 league defeat at home to Wokingham & Emmbrook.
A statement posted on the Woodley United website on Sunday confirmed the news. It said: “Following yesterday’s game against Wokingham & Emmbrook, Jon Laugharne stepped down from his role as 1st team manager. Jon had held the post since the summer of 2018.
“The club’s board of directors thank Jon for his considerable contribution during this time and the way he approached with vigour and dedication the challenges the team faced following relegation from the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division and wish him all the best for the future.”
Laugharne replaced James Anderson in the summer of 2018 following relegation from the Hellenic Premier. The new manager was charged with rebuilding the squad after a number of key departures that summer.
