The first game at Ascot United’s redeveloped Racecourse Ground will be the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division fixture against Guildford City on Tuesday 8th October.
Now though, the Yellamen have confirmed the match will be free entry for all when it kicks off at 7.45pm.
A statement posted on ascotunited.net says: “The game will be FREE ENTRY TO ALL – Donations will be welcome and will ensure you pick up a match program,
“We look forward to welcoming everyone along as we aim for a big crowd and give everyone the opportunity to see the new facilities under the lights.”
The Yellamen have been playing away from their home ground since the start of the season while work took place to install and artificial pitch and develop spectator facilities around the pitch.
The Yellamen’s Director of Football Neil Richards will be on the Berkshire Football Stories Podcast on Friday 4th October talking about the redevelopment, what it means for the future of the club and much more aside. Listen to past episodes and subscribe to get the next episodes here.
