Berkshire sides Binfield and Sandhurst Town have been rewarded by the Hellenic League for their form and discipline in February.

The two East Berks sides have been named Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division and Division 1 (incorporating East and West) teams of the month by the league committee.

Binfield topped the Premier Division table with 10.8 points after winning four and losing one of their five February matches while Sandhurst topped the combined division 1 table with a score of 10.5.

Bracknell Town were the January winners with a score of 11.75 while Cirencester Town ‘Dev’ were first in Division 1 with 8.33.

Binfield chairman Bob Bacon said of the win: “I’m pleased with the recognition, particularly as the staff and players have done a great job, having had to get some miles in for the away games, which we won. Great character from everyone involved.”

As well as committee votes, points are awarded based on games played in League competition, FA Cup, FA Vase and all Hellenic League Cup games. County Cup or any other cup competition fixtures aren’t included. Points are deducted for the following: 1 point for each yellow card, 2 for a double yellow sending off in a game, 4 for a straight red and 10 for a mass melee.

The full tables are on the Hellenic League website here.
