Ascot United Ladies win promotion to Southern Region Women’s Premier Division

Yellawomen finished runners up in SRWFL Div 1

It may not have happened on the pitch the way anyone at Ascot United Ladies would have wanted it, but the Yellawoman have reportedly earned their sought after promotion to the Southern Region Women’s League Premier Division.

Darrell Evans side were denied the division title on the final day by New Milton Town who beat Barton Rovers to go above Ascot, but it was a title race right to the end with United going from the bottom of the table last season, to the top two this time around.

Promotion to the Premier means a significant increase in travel for Evans team with trips to Milton Keynes, Chesham and the South Coast but the team certainly look up for the challenge. Whether they will face neighbours Bracknell Town remains to be seen after the Robins finished bottom of the Premier.

Congratulations to Ascot for all the hard work and deserved rewards this season.
