It was a big night for Bracknell Town off the pitch – or rather around the pitch – last night as the floodlights went on for the first time at the newly refurbished Larges Lane.

While the Robins were eaking out a 2-0 Berks & Bucks County Senior Trophy win at Bottom Meadow, the clubs chairman Kayne Steinborn-Busse was busy supervising the light switch on.

In a tweet the Robins supremo said: “Disappointed to be missing the game tonight but a monumental stage of the development is happening! #WEHAVELIGHT”.

When FiB toured the ground on Saturday, the floodlights were still waiting for bulbs to be installed but looking at the images from the site that task is now complete ahead of the grand opening on Saturday 19th November.

Earlier this week we revealed the impressive branding around the pitch which has been cut in to the pitchside in front of the new main stand – which the club are keen to have named by supporters.
