The ‘carpet’ is coming along at Bracknell Town’s Larges Lane

The ‘carpet’ is coming along thick and fast at Bracknell Town’s refurbished Larges Lane ground after delivery at the beginning of the week.

Club chairman Kayne Steinborn-Busse posted an image on twitter of the new pitch being laid on Tuesday afternoon and it does look an impressive site.

The countdown clock is ticking fast (we have a literal one right here) ahead of the opening of the ground towards the end of November – with the Hellenic Premier League ties against Thatcham Town pencilled in as the first competitive fixture at the ground.

On the FootballinBracknell page this week we posted several images of ‘the Lane’ in it’s previous state before demolition began in the summer.

On Monday the club tweeted a video of rolls of pitch arriving while last week there was a video showing the laying of a solid flat bad base across the ground and previously posted some great nostalgic images of the Quinton Stand before its demolition.

We will be running a facebook live stream from a special visit to the ground on Saturday morning. To receive a notification of our ‘live event’, please like our page here:
