The Isuzu FA Trophy moves into its “proper” stage in the next round with Berkshire sides Hungerford Town and Bracknell Town still going strong in the competition. The First Round Proper draw was completed on Monday morning, with both Berkshire sides being handed away draws.

Bracknell Town will make a trip to the south coast to play Poole Town. The Dolphins will be familiar opponents to the Robins as the two clubs have already faced each other in the FA Cup this season, Bracknell winning by three goals to one at Bottom Meadow. They’ve also faced each other in league action with Poole Town winning 3-1 at the Black Gold Stadium. With one win apiece already this term it’s likely to be a tight game.

It’s a shorter trip for Hungerford Town, who travel to Surrey to face Westfield. Hungerford will be hopeful of progressing against lower league oppositon with the Surrey-based club currently sitting just above the relegation zone in the Isthmian South Central division. Hungerford have played Westfield before, winning 2-0 in the FA Vase in the 2005/06 season.

Both Slough Town and Maidenhead United are yet to enter the competition. A carrot of a big Berkshire derby awaits both Bracknell and Hungerford if they can get through Round One.
