The daily Football in Berkshire podcast is in full swing with the latest episode featuring none other than former Queens Park Rangers midfielder and Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth.

The Berkshire Football Stories podcast was initially setup in 2019 to tell the stories behind the big moments in Berkshire footballing history, from AFC Wimbledon’s first ever competitive fixture – played at Sandhurst Town to Wokingham Town’s departure from Finchampstead Road.

Now though we’ve hijacked it and turned it in to a daily pub (but not in a pub) chat podcast with Tom Canning and Rob Davies talking to players, managers and volunteers about the game and how they’re getting on.

Episode 13 is a sit down with Ainsworth, who this season as well as becoming the Football League’s longest serving manager, has been turning out in midweek for Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East side Woodley United.

In the episode, Gareth talks about managing Wycombe during the current crisis, how he ended up turning out for Finchampstead Athletic Sunday in the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League, how his game has changed and a starry night at the League Managers Association Awards.
