Despite the only football being pre season friendlies in July, it was a record month for Football in Bracknell with 12,683 users visiting the site.
That base of 12,000 read 46,920 pages between them making it the best month for traffic since the site began in early 2016 – the previous best being November 2016 when we had the video of Callum Whitty accidentally kicking the ball in his own face and a tour of the redeveloped Larges Lane.
The top content of the month – and what drove the record figures was the FA Cup draw, Hellenic League fixtures and former Reading under 21 captain Aaron Kuhl turning up for a game at Larges Lane.
- ALL THE NATIONAL 2017/18 FA CUP AND FA VASE DRAWS AND EARLY ROUND FIXTURES (2024 page views)
- UHLSPORT HELLENIC FOOTBALL LEAGUE RELEASE 2017/18 OPENING DAY FIXTURES (857 page views)
- WHEN ARE THE DRAWS FOR THE 2017/18 FA CUP, FA TROPHY AND FA VASE? (832 page views)
- HERE’S THE AUGUST 2017/18 HELLENIC FOOTBALL LEAGUE FIXTURES FOR EAST BERKSHIRE (749 page views)
- EX-READING UNDER 21 CAPTAIN AARON KUHL MAKES BRACKNELL TOWN CAMEO (717 page views)
What’s interesting there – despite being done with a local angle – all but one of these stories are either national, or in the case of the Hellenic League fixtures regional stories.
There’s plenty of interest in local football, we wouldn’t be doing this if there wasn’t and stories around Jake Keohane’s move to Fleet Spurs, Liam Vaughan moving to Basingstoke and signings for Wokingham & Emmbrook all performed well.
We’re regularly generating over a 1,000 page views and 400 users a day and 19% of the audience is coming from Bracknell, Wokingham and Reading.
Thanks as ever for your support of the site and good luck to all the clubs in 2017..
