We’ve had a look at everything you’ll need to know about heading over to Windsor’s Stag Meadow Ground on Tuesday night for the Berks & Bucks County FA Senior Trophy Final between Binfield and Bracknell Town.
Whether it’s your first visit, or just been awhile here’s as much info as we can find!
Where is Stag Meadow?
Windsor’s ground is on the Crown Estate off the B3022 toward Windsor.
For the sat nav, Stag Meadow is at St Leonards Road, Windsor, Berkshire SL4 3DR. You can visit their contact information page here.
Transport
Car: The quickest way to get to Windsor will undoubtedly be to drive and should take about 20 minutes if the traffic is behaving, but beware with a big crowd expected there are only around 50 parking spaces at the ground – so car pool where possible!
According to Google Maps there are roadworks on Braziers Lane in Winkfield and on the B3022 toward Windsor and it’s worth remembering Legoland will be busy at half term – thanks to Kayne for the heads up on that one.
Bus: The 702 goes from Bracknell Bus Station that goes right past Windsor’s Stag Meadow Ground on St Leonards Road. The journey is about 40 minutes and goes down London Road to Ascot and down Fernbank Road and out past Legoland Windsor.
Train: An option but certainly not the best one. Windsor & Eton Central and Windsor & Eton Riverside Station’s are a good 25 to 30 minute walk away from Stag Meadow. Train journey times from Bracknell Station are between 50 minutes and an hour and a quarter.
Parking
As mentioned above, there are around 50 spaces at the ground and most of the nearby roads are marked with double yellow lines.
You could also try the website Parkopedia.
When will the ground be open?
We understand from Windsor that the bar will open from 6pm and they should have a fresh delivery from Windsor & Eton Brewery.
Where to drink?
If you are heading over early or making a day of it, the closest pub outside the ground is The Alma, a 10 minute walk away on Springfield Road.
The other nearest pubs are The Prince Arthur and The Windsor Castle.
Tickets
Tickets will be available on the night of the game, we’ve detailed the prices here which start from kids at £1.
