The latest episode of the Berkshire Football Stories podcast takes us behind the scenes at the local media that covers the great grassroots game, way back when it was all a little different in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Andrew Batt, the former Sports Editor of the Wokingham Times is the subject of episode 6 and talks us through what it was like covering the clubs in the immediate vicinity but especially Wokingham Town on their run to the FA Trophy semi finals and working as a summariser for BBC Radio 5 Live in Bracknell Town’s FA Cup First Round tie at Lincoln City.
As well as all that, Andrew talks about how he started out taking photographs for the Sumas, becoming a trainee photographer at the Bracknell News and everything in between.
