Combined Counties League Premier Division North Holyport have confirmed the departure of manager Adam Hopkins in a statement released on social media.
Port narrowly missed out on the play-offs at the end of the season after featuring the previous season.
A statement on Hopkins departure said: “The club can confirm that Manager Adam Hopkins has tonight resigned from his position of First Team manager. We would like to thank Adam and Jamie for their commitment since joining last season and wish them both the very best of success with their next position.”
Hopkins is a former manager at Sandhurst Town and joined the Port last summer.
In his own statement, Hopkins said: “Today, I’ve made the difficult decision to resign from my position as the first-team manager at Holyport FC, effective immediately. I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at the club and extend my heartfelt wishes to all the members staff and players.”
Port missed out on a play-off spot by just three points.
