Wokingham & Emmbrook’s Ian Narraway is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Volunteer of the Season.

One nomination for the award said: “Ian or ‘Naz’ is constantly working hard at Wokingham’s ground. He puts so much work into everything that Wokingham defines and should definitely be considered and recognised for all his hard work.”

Another added: “We are nominating Naz due to his outstanding commitment as a volunteer for the club. The weather this season has been chaotic but Naz will always be found down at Lowther Road working his magic on the pitch to get the game on. He is often down in at the club early in the morning throughout the week until late afternoon, cutting, rolling, zip-tying and line painting until the pitch looks perfect. We can’t state his importance enough and that is why we believe he deserves to be nominated for Volunteer of the Season.”
