Bracknell Sunday League fixture programme decimated by the weather

Almost half the fixtures scheduled for Sunday were wiped out through water-logging of pitches. Most affected were those games that were to have been played at Cantley Park and St Crispins School with some Bracknell pitches also affected.

Crowthorne Inn’s lead at the top of the Premier Division is now seven points following their 4-0 win away at Raglan.

The all-Woodley derby in Division 1 finished all square at 2-2. The fixture was described as “a classic derby game” that Woodley United fought through with only 10 players following an early sending-off. Elsewhere Finchampstead Athletic and Athletico Ascot fought out a 2-2 draw whilst Crowthorne inflicted further misery on Winkfield’s season with a 5-1 win. Ascot stay top by one point clear of Crowthorne who moved up into 2nd whilst Woodley Saints drop down into 3rd. Woodley United move up a place into 5th.

At the top of Division 2 leaders Bearwood Wanderers dropped points after being held to a 1-1 draw against bottom team Panthers Reserves. Elsewhere 4th placed Bracknell Corinthians beat Bracknell Cavaliers 3-2.
