Not long to go now before nominations for the Bracknell Football Awards close, but time to tell you about a few over the next couple of days.

First up is Bob Ellis of Binfield Football Club who has been nominated as Volunteer of the Season in the EPC sponsored awards.

Nominations for Bob include: “Tirelessly works behind the scenes at Binfield FC. Unsung hero. Deserves recognition for all of hours spent at the club working on the pitch, kitchen, bar, changing rooms, travelling to away games for Development side etc. Clubs don’t function without people like Bob.”

While another reads: “Bobby Ellis is an absolute world class human being, supported me as manager as a volunteer, to pretty much every game this season home and away. Football is not just about players, Bobby is another one of this clubs unsung hero’s!

“Without people like Bobby, teams like mine this season would not exist if it wasn’t for people like Bobby. Bobby had a huge impact on us winning the only trophy Binfield FC won in senior football. Thank you Bobby for all you have done.”
