Bracknell Town will be without central defender Matty Day for Saturday’s home tie with Chalfont St Peter at Larges Lane.
Speaking to Football in Bracknell, manager Geoff Warner said the defender was unavailable for the weekend but added some good news that winger Joe Grant was back fit for the Bostik League South Central fixture.
The Robins goalkeeping conundrum circles again with Warner admitting the decision on who of Chris Grace and Mark Scott will play will be made on the day.
Warner said: “Both goalkeepers are again available, it’s a difficult one because if you look at them they two of the four best, if not the two best goalkeepers in the league.
“That’s obviously great for me, not so much for them!”
The Bracknell boss also highlighted the importance of new signing Jordan Brown. He said: “He’s someone we needed. Without injured Kensley Maloney, Ash Artwell and Seb Bowerman he’s exactly what we needed.
“He was involved in all three goals on Saturday.”
As to why promotion rivals Marlow allowed Brown to leave, Warner said: “I am not sure why they let him go. I made enquiry and Mark [Bartley] was happy to let him go, they waived the seven day approach for us. Without that we’d not have had him last Saturday.”
Ascot United will be without captain Louis Bouwers again for the visit of Royal Wootton Bassett Town on Saturday in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.
Yellamen manager Jamie Tompkins said: “Louis has picked up an small injury but nothing serious so we are taking precautionary measures to ensure he is 100% fit for the remainder of the season. Other than that, the squad are raring to go and looking forward to the game.”
Wokingham & Emmbrook manager Dan Bateman is without Jordan and Aaron Rowland for the Sumas Reading Senior Cup tie with Burghfield at Bracknell Town FC. Goalkeeper Sean Woodward is back in contention though.
