Berks & Bucks County under 18s top championship table

Ascot United’s Harrison Cliff and Hungerford Town’s Josh Elms were on target for the Berks & Bucks County FA under 18s as they stayed top of the South & West Counties Championship on Sunday afternoon.

The side – managed by Ascot United assistant boss Aaron Steadman beat the Gloucestershire FA 2-1 at Slough Town’s Arbour Park despite playing the final half an hour with 10 men.

The side, which included Josh Harris – fresh from helping Wokingham & Emmbrook to a 3-0 win over Woodley United on Saturday as well as players from Maidenhead United, Ascot and Bracknell Town.

The red card came after Ben Mulley was sent off for a challenge, but was deemed by the referee to be the last man.

Berks & Bucks lead the five team competition after two games by three points from Cornwall FA who beat Devon 3-1 on 16th February.

The County’s previous competition fixture saw them beat Devon 4-0 in November.
