The Berks & Bucks County FA’s under 18s side got the season off to a flying start with a 4-0 win over the Devon FA at Slough Town’s Arbour Park.
Managed by Aaron Steadman, the counties side were 2-0 up at half time thanks to a goal on 15 minutes from Ascot United’s James Richardson and a second from Maidenhead United’s Lewis Pegg on 34 minutes.
Binfield striker Eddie Lee made it 3-0 on 55 minutes and Brad Farren rounded things off with a terrific strike in the 69th minute to open the South & West Counties Championship with a bang.
Prior to the game, the County team joined Football in Bracknell’s #cmonduds campaign and also sported rainbow laces for the Stonewall campaign.
Post match, Steadman tweeted: “After a very slow start, the boys upped their intensity and quality. Second half the lads were unplayable, very impressive. Lucky to have such a great squad to work with.”
