Raglan returned to the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League Premier Division at the first time of asking and without playing a match on Thursday night as results went their way.
Division 1 will conclude on Sunday but there are still plenty of games to play in the other divisions as Tony Hardy explains:
Premier Division
With 3 games still to play FC Fernhill moved to within 4 points of top team Crowthorne Inn (1 to play) with a 3-0 win over FC Meta on Thursday evening.
This coming Sunday the top 2 will slug it out in what will prove to be the day’s biggest league fixture. A win for Crowthorne will be essential if they are to hold off their closest challengers’ tilt at the top spot that they have held for much of the season whilst a win for Fernhill will firmly install them as favourites for yet another Premier Division title. Hold onto your seats folks!!

Division 1
A 4-0 victory over Sandhurst FFC on Tuesday evening and a walkover win over Ashridge Park on Thursday (who finish bottom) confirmed Raglan as this seasons Division 1 champions. Two wins in the week by Loveman United (1-0 against Hurricanes on Tuesday and 3-2 against Sandhurst on Thursday) confirmed a 3rd place finish for them.
This Sunday sees the conclusion to this seasons Division 1 fixtures and, whilst the top 4 positions have now been settled (Raglan Champions, WAB runners-up, Loveman 3rd and AFC Crowthorne 4th) a win for Berks All Stars by two or more goals against Loveman will see them finish 5th ahead of Finchampstead Athletic Reserves.
Division 2
Defeat for Warfield United on Thursday evening (1-3 against Berks County) and wins for both Woodley United and Athletico Ascot (3-1 v. Bracknell Saint Germain and 2-1 v. 3M respectively) means that the lead has changed once again with Woodley topping Division 2 by two points ahead of Athletico in 2nd. Warfield slipped to 3rd
The title will be decided between the United’s of Woodley and Warfield and Athletico Ascot in the games remaining (Woodley and Warfield have 2 each whilst Athletico only have 1 games remaining). This Sunday sees Woodley and Warfield go head-to-head whist Athletico Ascot take on Berks County.
Division 3
Two wins for Bracknell Corinthians during the week (4-0 v. Silver Birch on Tuesday followed by 3-1 against Bearwood Wanderers on Thursday) sets up a race to the finish line with Woodley Saints in Division 3 – both on 39 points with 1 each to play.
This Sunday Corinthians take on WAB Reserves whilst Woodley Saints will have to wait until next Tuesday to play Hope & Anchor.
Division 4
An 8-1 win for Silver Birch A on Thursday evening against FC Harmanswater set them up for a shoot-out for the Division 4 title with Finchampstead Athletic A who both play their final games this weekend.
Birch will, on paper, have the toughest task with a home game against Crownwood Dukes, enjoying their best season for a while, whilst Finch play bottom team Bracknell Titans.
