The biggest news out of the Hellenic League Premier Division on Saturday was promotion chasing Highworth Town dropping points at home to Flackwell Heath in a 3-2 defeat, the Heathens firing a late winner through Francis Amartey – much to the delight of Bracknell Town and Thatcham Town fans.

Bracknell, Binfield, Ascot United and Woodley United all saw their fixtures postponed but Thatcham remain title favourites following a 2-0 win at Brackley Town Saints thanks to goals from Dan Rapley and Ross Cook.

Three games survived the weather in Division 1 East with Sandhurst Town’s promotion challenge taking a dent following a 2-0 defeat to second placed Bicester Town while Penn & Tylers Green took top spot in their quest for a third successive league title with a 4-2 win at Thame Rangers.

Over in the Thames Valley Premier League two Dan Money goals were enough for Berks County to earn a first win for new manager Lee Simpson when they beat Wokingham & Emmbrook Reserves 2-1 at Lowther Road while in the Suburban League Ascot United Reserves were beaten 4-1 by a strong Bracknell Town Development side, Seb Bowerman (2), TJ Bohane and Dan Read with the goals while Harvey Beales replied for the Yellamen.
