Three first half Horndean goals were enough to see Binfield exit the 2017/18 Emirates FA Cup at the Preliminary Round stage on Tuesday night.

The Moles, without the trio of injured Sean Moore and Brad Pagliaroli and suspended Jamie McCarthy for the 104 mile round trip to Portsmouth were 1-0 down after 20 minutes and the home side effectively made the game safe before the break.

There were no further goals in the second half and Horndean will host Cornish side Bodmin Town in the First Qualifying Round on Saturday 2nd September.
