Sandhurst Town’s captain Harry Oakley looks set to miss at least a month after discovering he had been playing for two months with a stress fracture to his metatarsal.
Oakley – brother of Woodley United striker Charlie, has been almost ever-present for the Fizzers this season playing 19 times and was part of the Town side that lost 5-2 to Binfield in the Bluefin Sports Hellenic League Challenge Cup on Saturday.

Speaking to FiB Oakley said he was ‘absolutely gutted’ and tweeted: “Absolutely gutted to be facing potentially 6 weeks on the sidelines. I’ll be back as soon as I can.”

The news means Oakley may miss the second instalment of OakleyVSOakley when Woodley host the Fizzers on 25th February.
