New Bracknell Town boss Matthew Saunders has wasted no time in making additions to his squad with a young duo on loan from Championship side QPR.
Jake Leahy and Noah McCann have joined the Robins along with Ody Afla, previously with Chelmsford City and Rochdale.
19-year old left-back Leahy signed a pro-contract with the West London side last summer and has been a regular in the Development Squad. Last season he spent time on loan at then Enterprise National League South Aveley while QPR CEO Christian Nourry described Leahy as: “Having the makings of a model professional footballer and has more than earned the right to fight for greater things at QPR.”
Scottish youth international McCann is the other loanee from QPR. A centre-back, from Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire, McCann has spent 10 years at the Hoops and most recently spent time on loan at Enfield Town.
Afla finished last season with Slough Town having joined them from National League Rochdale in July 2024. The forward came through the ranks at QPR and in the summer played four times for SDS in the Baller League on Sky Sports.
In a wide ranging social post, Bracknell also confirmed the loans of Haydon Vaughan from Aldershot Town and QPRs Teddy Tarbotton had been extended.

Windsor & Eton’s Pawel Kowalkowski has departed Stag Meadow. The forward won a host of awards last season as the Royalists won promotion to the Combined Counties League Premier Division North.
In a statement, the club said: “The club can confirm that striker Pawel Kowalkowski has left the club. Pawel was an integral part of our title winning squad last season, winning the players’ player, supporters’ player, and top goalscorer awards.”
Sticking with the Combined Counties League, Reading City have confirmed young forward Emil Mursalov has returned to the club. A product of the John Madejski Academy’s Football Performance Programme, Mursalov was a first team player for the Cityzens during 2023/24 and was scouted for trials with Burnley and Crystal Palace.
National League South Slough Town meanwhile have added Harvey Walker to their ranks. The wide man plays on the left and came through the Academy at Aldershot Town before becoming a first team player at Queen of the South in Scotland. He joins the Rebels from Chatham Town.
Back in Combined Counties League Division One, Woodley United have bolstered their squad after a terrific start to the season. Loanees Sanchez Parkes and Kasper Hok have both signed on permanently with the Kestrels. Parkes began the season with Woodley’s landlords Reading City, while future Bangladesh international Hok joins having spent time with Windsor & Eton and Wokingham Town last season.
