Wokingham Town make statement signing with Sean Moore

Sumas make experienced forward their first signing

Combined Counties League Premier Division North Wokingham Town have made their first signing of the summer with FA Vase finalist Sean Moore headed to Lowther Road.

Most recently with Hungerford Town in the Southern League Premier Division, Moore returns to Step 5 where he was previously successful with Binfield – leading the Moles out as captain at Wembley Stadium in the FA Vase Final.

In a statement released on the Sumas website, Wokingham-based Moore said: “I am really happy to be here, I had spoken with the managers recently and their plans are really impressive so I hope that we can build something special this season together.”

The Sumas management team of Darren Purbrick and Matt Eggleston also expressed their delight at capturing the striking talent with Eggleston saying: “We are delighted that Sean has signed for the club, he is a very talented striker who we hope will lead the line for the club and score some great goals at Lowther Road.”

“His signing shows that he believes in our project for this season as we aim to progress up the league and I think it shows our intent as a club.”
