Wokingham Town have moved to sign up FA Vase winning midfielder Harrison Bayley for the remainder of the Combined Counties League Premier Division North season.

Bayley, most recently with Hartley Wintney, is a popular and recognisable figure across the Berkshire game have appeared for Bracknell Town, Binfield, Hungerford Town, Highmoor-IBIS and Thatcham Town where in 2018 he was part of the side that beat Stockton Town at Wembley Stadium.

The experienced midfielder has also had several spells with Marlow and will next be seen in the Sumas black and orange quarters.

Wokingham boss Darren Purbrick was understandably delighted to get his man, saying: “We are delighted as a club to have Harrison on board, his experience and knowledge will be so valuable to us all. Both on and off the field. Matt [Eggleston] and myself have been working together on bringing in Harrison. A top player and a great person to have around the squad.”

The Sumas are 13th of 20 in the Premier Division on 32 points with games in hand that should see a top-half finish as an achievable goal.
