Maidenhead United confirmed the signing of a Northern Ireland born centre-forward over the festive period for an undisclosed fee.

20-year-old Noah Stewart joins the Magpies from Northern Ireland Premier League Ballymena United where he scored 11 times in 38 games over and 18-month spell according to the football stats website Transfermarkt.co.uk.

A short statement release by Maidenhead on social media said: “We are delighted to confirm the signing of Noah Stewart from Ballymena United.

“The 20-year-old striker joins from the Northern Irish side for an undisclosed fee.”

Stewart came through the youth setup at Linfield, one of Northern Ireland’s most famous and successful clubs.

Following his switch from Linfield to Ballymena in 2023, Stewart, speaking to Belfast Live said: “I came here from Linfield to get first-team opportunities, I knew Jim [Ervin] would give me that and he would trust the young players.

“I was with him in the County Antrim Under-16 SuperCup squad a couple of years ago so I knew coming in he would give me that chance, and I’m very thankful he did.

“All I can do now is to start and pay him back for that.”
