Two notable signings in recent weeks as a pair of Berkshire stars headed to pastures new.
Slough Town’s long serving attacker Matt Lench departed the club earlier in the month having initially joined up with Combined Counties League Virginia Water to regain match fitness.
After making his departure official though it was always likely the fan favourite would seek to stay at Step 2 in the Vanarama National League South – either side of two spells with Slough he had featured for Wealdstone at the same level.
There was some hope among Bracknell Town supporters that Lench would join his former manager Jon Underwood at Bottom Meadow, but it has been confirmed that the forward has joined St Albans City and made his debut off the bench in the 1-0 defeat by Welling United before starting the 2-2 draw with Slough in midweek.
Meanwhile recent Bracknell departure Dan Roberts has linked up again with Bobby Wilkinson at Hemel Hempstead Town.
The former Slough striker had rejoined Bracknell in the summer but left the club when manager Jordan Ive departed.
Having recently played for Wilkinson at Weymouth, Roberts move takes him back to Step 2 where he has played for the Terras, Dartford and Slough.
