Pitching In Isthmian League South Central Division One side Bracknell Town have signed goalkeeper Michael Eacott from division rivals Sutton Common Rovers.

The Robins were forced into the move following an injury to regular number one Mark Scott in the Emirates FA Cup First Qualifying Round defeat to Burgess Hill Town.

Scott was substituted after around half an hour of the tie and replaced with youngster Joe Whiter.

Bracknell had Hampton & Richmond Borough understudy Myles Bowman in goal for Saturday’s 2-1 win over Bedfont & Feltham but have now signed Eacott who had played seven times for the Commoners this season.

Eacott was a regular for Rovers in the Combined Counties League, playing 23 times in the curtailed 2019/20 having previously played for South Park in the Isthmian League.

Writing on his Twitter account, Eacott left a message for his former clubs supporters: “Can’t thank Sutton Common Rovers enough for the past 3-4 years. Been a pleasure to captain the side to promotion into step 4. Some unbelievable people behind the scenes that go above and beyond. Me and my family will always be grateful.”
