Striker Mitchell Parker has rejoined Reading City for the forthcoming Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division North campaign.

The forward played for City in the club’s debut season of 2018 but has since featured for Basingstoke Town and Hartley Wintney in the Pitching In Southern League and captained an England representative side that toured the Falkland Islands in late 2018.

Announcing the signing, Cityzens manager Simon Johnson via the club website, said: “Mitch is a very very talented footballer, who will add plenty of goals to us. His attitude since coming in has been brilliant. When he’s on song he’s one of the best players you will find at step 5 and obviously has experience of the leagues higher up. He will add a new dimension to this squad. We can’t wait to see him in action again. Welcome back Mitch”

The Cityzens begin their 2021/22 campaign on Saturday with the visit of Southall in the Premier Division North before hosting Hallen in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup.
