Former Binfield and Bracknell Town striker Liam Ferdinand has departed Harrow Borough, the club has confirmed.

In a post on the Borough website, manager Steve Baker said, “I’m disappointed to loose Liam but it’s not come as a surprise . It’s football, these things happen and we move on.”

Ferdinand scored twice for Binfield in the FA Vase Final at Wembley while on dual registration with the Moles after Borough’s season was cancelled.

Speaking to Football in Berkshire’s Dave Wright, Binfield manager Jamie McClurg said: “We have known them [Ferdinand and Borough teammate Kensley Maloney] for a long time and we knew they would fit in perfectly for the Vase as they are two quality lads on and off the pitch. They were also happy to get in some football as their club were no longer playing due to the lockdown.

“But I am sure we will be talking to them about next season, although I would think other clubs will also want to speak to them as well.”
