Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division Woodley United have boosted their forward line with striker Max Laschok joining the Rivermoor based outfit.
It’ll be familiar surroundings at least at his new club for Laschok, top scorer for the Cityzens Rivermoor tenants Woodley United in Division One East over the last two seasons.
Laschok made an instant impact for his new club on Tuesday night, scoring twice in the 3-0 win at Royal Wootton Bassett Town.
Announcing the move on social media, a City statement said: “Yesterday [Tuesday] saw Max Laschok make his debut as a Cityzen having joined us from Woodley United this week, and what a fantastic debut he had by earning himself a brace, it was almost a hat-trick.”

Reading City are currently under a Covid-19 enforced break, but speaking on the club website, manager Simon Johnson said: “We saw something special in Max last week [Woodley and City clashed in the FA Vase on Saturday 10th October]. Not many players have done what he did to our back four. It made sense to try and bring him in. He’s a lad looking to kick on so thank you to Jamie [Williams, Woodley boss] and all at Woodley United for seeing that and allowing him to move up. A great debut today and definitely more to come from this lad! Welcome Max.”
