Bracknell Town centre back Carl Davies has signed for BetVictor Southern League Central Division One side Thame United.
The Robins former player/manager – who began the season with Binfield in the Hellenic League was confirmed as signing for the Oxfordshire side on the clubs website.
Calling the move a ‘headline signing’ a statement posted by the club said: “All of us at Thame United are so excited by this news and are thrilled to have his defensive/leadership qualities in Mark West’s Barmy Army as we strive to climb the league table.”
Thame captain Ben Sturgess – who was previously a team mate of Davies’ at Binfield said: “Carl has exceptional experience at a good level and knowing him personally he is a big character on and off the field. Carl is a top bloke and I am looking forward to playing with him.”
Davies had a long spell with Bracknell Town, joining initially in 2015/16 with manager Mark Tallentire. He departed in the summer of 2019 for his former club Binfield, but was tempted back to Larges Lane in September and made 15 appearances for the Robins this season as well as six for the Moles.
