Bracknell Town have added to their defensive line up with the signing of centre back Dan Bayliss from Basingstoke Town.
Bayliss, a highly-rated former Flackwell Heath and England Schoolboys defender was confirmed as a Bracknell player by the clubs twitter account on Thursday night.
The former Heathen joined Basingstoke in the summer of 2017 after the step 3 side ‘won the race’ to sign him from the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side.
An understandably delighted Sam Lock was speaking to Football in Berkshire about signing Bayliss. The Bracknell manager said: “Delighted to announce the signing of Defender Dan Bayliss.
“Dan has all the attributes to progress. He’s 6 foot 4, strong in the
air, great feet and is eager to learn. I have been an admirer of Dan
for some time and I’m really pleased he has chosen to play his
football at Bracknell Town this season. He has a very bright future. I
am personally really looking forward to working him!”
Basingstoke Town confirme Bayliss departure
Bayliss was part of the Basingstoke side that suffered relegation from the Evo Stik Southern League Premier Division South last season after three years at step 3.
The youngster is the latest impressive addition at Larges Lane and will be fighting for a spot along side Joe Gater and Rob Sheridan.
