Bracknell Town manager Carl Davies has strengthened his midfield ranks with the signing of the experienced Harrison Bayley.
Bayley was virtually an ever present at Thatcham Town last year playing 58 times as they won both the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division and the Buildbase FA Vase at Wembley in May.
Such was his contribution last season, Bayley was awarded the Players’ Player of the Year award at the clubs presentation evening in June.

Prior to last year, Bayley had a spell at Binfield under Roger Herridge who ten days ago described the midfielder “an absolute machine and one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet” having previously captained Highmoor Ibis (now Reading City).

Kensley Maloney and Jamie McClurg have made the Bracknell central midfield positions their own in 2018 but Bayley will surely be competing for a starting place immediately.
‘Back and forth decisions’
Bayley had tweeted at the beginning of August that it had been a tough decision to leave Thatcham after such a successful season. The midfielder said: “After a long summer of back and forth decisions a millions conversation trying to find the perfect solution, rhis wasn’t an easy decision but I have decided for work and personal reasons I will not be staying on Thatcham Town this year.”

The Vase winner joins fellow Thatcham team mates Liam Ferdinand and Josh Helmore at Larges Lane. The break up of the Kingfishers triumphant side has also seen Jemel Johnson rejoin Binfield and Tom Moran head to Reading City.
