Combined Counties League Division One leaders Brook House suffered a hammering at the hands of Berks County on Tuesday night with Shaquille Johnson scoring a hat-trick.
The former Windsor & Eton forward has now scored four times in the last three games as the Swords amassed an impressive 17 goals in a week with a 4-0 over Sandhurst Town, a 6-1 win over Rising Ballers Kensington and a stunning 7-3 win over the now deposed league leaders Brook House.
Johnson is County’s top scorer this season with 22 goals as the Swords look to make an immediate return to Step 5 following relegation in the summer.
The fight for the four play-off places is essentially between seven sides although both Westside and Wembley could enter the fray with plenty of games in hand.
Beating the teams above them certainly does County a favour (as does having the second best goal difference and second highest goals scored in the division), and Woodley United who also won on Tuesday night – 1-0 at home to London Samurai Rovers.

To make Berks County’s win all the more impressive was that Ben Hall and Dan Money’s side came from 2-0 down after Anthony Emeh scored twice for the visitors at Ascot United’s Racecourse Ground.
Johnson and Harrison Davey levelled the scores either side of half-time but Trey Pender-Brown gave Brook house a 3-2 lead shortly after.
From that point on it was all Swords as first Harry Lee then Ikhon Ward (five goals in three games) made it 4-3 before Johnson struck on 73 minutes and again in the second minute of injury time. Lee rounding things off with a 94th minute penalty.

Hungerford Town vs Bracknell Town in the Southern League Premier Division South produced nine yellow cards and a 2-1 win for the Robins courtesy of goals from Jake Thomas-Coomes and Seb Bowerman after Joshua Marcon had given the Crusaders and 10th minute lead.
The ridiculously tight nature of the Isthmian League South Central Division One means that despite winning four and drawing one of their last six games – including Tuesday nights 3-0 win at Horndean courtesy of hat-trick hero Kickie Dzimba – Binfield still very much have work to do but are four points clear of the drop zone with games in hand.
Tadley Calleva will surely be in the Combined Counties League Premier Division South play-offs come the end of the season having beaten runaway leaders Cobham on Saturday and on Tuesday night at Barlows Park, fallen giants Tooting & Mitcham United 3-0 with goals for Brad Neal, Ash Neal and Kieran Rodgers. Eversley & California’s chances of staying up were boosted by a 3-1 win at home to Epsom & Ewell but Thatcham Town lost 1-0 at Redhill.
