Berkshire’s FA Trophy campaign as a county is over after all three sides in the Second Round were knocked out on Saturday.
Bracknell Town and Slough Town both exited via the agony of the penalty shootout while Maidenhead United were beaten 2-0 in normal time at Leamington.
Bracknell went ahead at Enterprise National League South Bath City on 61 minutes when Seb Bowerman dispatched a penalty on the rebound after Shae Hutchinson was tripped in the box.
Underdogs going into the game, Bracknell’s lead held until the first minute of injury time when the home side levelled.
With the game going straight to penalties, the Robins scored their first two before it was advantage Bath – the National League South side going on to score all five penalties.

Post-match, manager Carl Davies said: “Credit to everyone involved, not just the lads that played but the prep that went into this in the week, Shaun especially. It’s sickening to lose on penalties but I was not overly concerned about the result, more the performance and I couldn’t ask for anymore from all of them. They were superb against a good Step 2 side who are probably in a false position in the league at the moment.”
Slough Town also exited on penalties, Glocuester led on 39 minutes before substitute Ansu Janneh levelled on 59 minutes after Kiki Oshilaja headed the ball down from a corner.
The Rebels pressed for a winner but ultimately the full-time whistle went and Gloucester emerged 4-3 victors.
