Binfield got back to winning ways on Monday night with an impressive win over Vanarama National League Maidenhead United in the Berks & Bucks County FA Senior Cup Third Round.
The Moles were beaten 4-0 in the same competition the last time the sides met competitively in 2019 but this time it was Binfield who edged it at home thanks to a Mitch Parker double.
Maidenhead’s Tobi Sho-Silva had given the visitors a third minute lead but Parker’s 53rd minute penalty and a second half injury time winner means the Moles go through to the Fourth Round and are 90 minutes from a tie with either Reading FC, Wycombe Wanderers or MK Dons.
Binfield had enjoyed a six game winning run through October and early November but had since suffered back to back league defeats.
Next up for Binfield is a trip to Hanworth Villa on Saturday while Maidenhead United head to Sutton United.

Fourth Round draw..
In a previous article, Football in Berkshire wrote that the winners would go into the Quarter Finals with the county’s pro sides. Anyone with half a GCSE in maths would have been able to spot that 13 in a last eight doesn’t work. It’s been confirmed by the County FA now that there is one more round to go before the Quarter. Sorry!
