Bracknell Town repeat FA Cup history and Maidenhead United join them

Bracknell Town have matched the heroes of 2000 and will appear in the FA Cup First Round Proper for only the second time in the clubs history.

The Robins defeated Vanarama National League North Banbury United 2-1 at Bottom Meadow and will be in the hat for the First Round on Monday.

Max Herbert struck after nine minutes for Bracknell before Banbury equalised on 39. However captain Dan Bayliss had the last word against Bracknell’s higher placed opposition, scoring on 46 minutes to seal the Robins place.

Joining them in the FA Cup First Round are fellow Berkshire side Maidenhead United who beat Eastbourne Borough 2-1 at York Road with Will De Haviland and Emile Acquah the goalscorers.
