He doesn’t get many, but when Keith Emmerson does they are important goals – and none less than the only goal of the game on Saturday when a towering header sent Hungerford Town through to the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
The veteran former Hartlepool United, Farnborough and Taunton Town centre-back was on target for the Vanarama National League South side against Truro City on Saturday and named man of the match to boot in the Non-League Paper.
Emmerson’s goal came 80 minutes into the tie after Truro had had penalty appeals waved away, and the goal means the Crusaders now face Cirencester Town at home in the Third Qualifying Round.
