The rain thankfully held off this weekend allowing Woodley United Royals, Burghfield, Richings Park, Mortimer, Newbury, Berks County, Wraysbury, Reading City U23, Marlow United and Windlesham & Cobham to get their 2020/2021 seasons underway.
The biggest scorers of the day were Berks County who won 4-2 at Richings Park. Goals from Ebby Opuko-Ware, John Swift and a double from Leslie Sackey handed County all three points. Aaron Jones and James Ward scored the goals for Richings Park.

Maidenhead Town followed up their opening day draw with a 3-1 victory over Woodley United Royals at Bisham Abbey. Aleks Yankov, Ryan Adams and Duarte Surpanu were on the scoresheet for a Town side who have made a very solid start to the season.
The spoils were shared at the Alfred Palmer Memorial Ground as Mortimer drew 2-2 with local rivals Newbury. A brace of penalties for the visitors Danny Langford wasn’t enough for Newbury, Chace Jewell and Dan Greenwood scored the goals for Mortimer who ended the game with ten men.

Westwood Wanderers are the only club to have played and won both of their games so far this season. A 2-1 victory over local rivals Reading City U23s at Theale Recreation ground sees Wanderers as the early pacesetters in the Thames Valley Premier League.
Finchampstead earned their first three points of the season on Saturday with an impressive 2-0 victory over Cookham Dean. Richie Dow and Jack Lewis scored the goals for Finch who have scored four goals this term with four different goalscorers.
A solitary Lewis Butcher strike handed Burghfield their first victory of the season at Windlesham & Chobham as they won 1-0 in Surrey.
