Bracknell Town have made the semi finals of the Isthmian League’s Velocity Trophy for the second season in a row after a penalty shootout win over Maldon & Tiptree at Larges Lane on Tuesday night.
The Essex side top the BetVictor Isthmian League North Division One and conquered Leyton Orient in the FA Cup this season but couldn’t find a way past the Robins who have now kept a clean sheet in seven of their last eight matches in all competitions.
It was a 0-0 stalemate over the 90 minutes but Bracknell proved deadly from 12 yards as Seb Bowerman, Max Herbert, Joy Mukena and Mikel Platt all converting their spot kicks while Maldon could only manage to beat Mark Scott once.
