Westwood Wanderers went level at the top of the Thames Valley Premier League Premier Division with Reading City under 23 at the weekend but the big result of Saturday afternoon was Berks County’s terrific comeback at home to Woodcote.
Elsewhere, Mortimer would appear to have turned a corner with a big 6-0 win away from home while Richings Park and Finchampstead shared the points.

Berks County FC 4 – 3 Woodcote
An incredible comeback from Berks County at the Ryeish Green Sports Hub saw the home side come from three goals down at half-time to take all the points.
First half goals from Joshua Miller and a brace from Jake Dillon put Woodcote three up at the break. Whatever the Berks County management team said during the interval worked, as the Swords scored four second-half goals, one for Dan Money and a hat-trick for Connor Reeves.
County are now in third place with 19 points, one point behind leaders Reading City u23 and Westwood Wanderers who are joint top with 20 points apiece.
Richings Park 2 – 2 Finchampstead
Richings Park and Finch played out a 2-2 draw. Park’s goals were scored by Jack Bees and Dan Retter. Nick Payne and a late equaliser from James Payne the goalscorers for Finch.
Westwood Wanderers 4 – 2 Cookham Dean
Westwood Wanderers joined Reading City U23s at the top of the Thames Valley Premier League after a 4-2 victory over basement boys Cookham Dean. Goals for Wanderers scored by Ross Storrar with a hat-trick and a Scott Warick strike.
Windlesham United 0 – 6 Mortimer
There was am emphatic 6-0 victory for the resurgent Villagers against Windlesham at Chobham Rec on Saturday. Mortimer have now dragged themselves off the bottom of the table. Goalscorers on Saturday were Shane Gibson, Andrew Johnstone-Archer, Chris Leach, Casey Warwick and a Danny Seaward double.
Woodley United Royals 2 – 2 Wraysbury Village
Royals and Wraysbury played out a 2-2 draw at Bulmershe Pavilion on Saturday. Dylan Chafflin and Ben Anderson scored the home sides goals with replies from Ben Landi and Gary Black from the visitors.
