Bracknell Town missed out on a Velocity Trophy Final on Tuesday night by the smallest of margins having battled back from a goal down at AFC Hornchurch.
Striker Adam Cornell had given Bracknell the lead against their Bostik League Premier Division opponents but Alex Bentley levelled things up shortly after and the sides went in level at the break.
Charlie Stimson then gave the home side the lead on the hour but who else than Liam Ferdinand stepped up to level from the penalty spot after Cornell’s cross had been handled in the box.

With extra time looming, it was the home side that nudged ahead when George Purcell fired home in the 81st minute.
Captain Dave Hancock posted on twitter after the game ‘now it’s time to focus on the league and promotion.’
Chairman Kayne Steinborn-Busse tweeted: ‘Thank you for your great support. See you all on Saturday we have a buffet for the players and fans in the Clubhouse after the game.’
In the other semi final, Enfield Town and Bishop’s Stortford played out a 3-3 draw with Enfield winning 4-2 on penalties. The final is due to be played on Wednesday 10th April at Aveley FC.
Bracknell Town now welcome Molesey to Larges Lane on Saturday in the Bostik League South Central Division One.
