Bracknell Town blew away FC Romania on Bank Holiday Monday at Larges Lane scoring six goals without reply in a blistering Bostik League win.

The Robins were 3-0 up at the break as Liam Ferdinand scored twice while Kensley Maloney also got on the score sheet for Bracknell who currently top the South Central Division 1.

It was more of the same in the second half as Ferdinand completed his hat trick while Seb Bowerman and Harrison Bayley with his first for the club also got on the score sheet.

Down the London Road it was honours even between Ascot United and Binfield as the two sides couldn’t be separated in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division. That one finished 0-0 while the first competitive meeting between Windsor and Virginia Water ended 1-1.

The shock of the day though came in Oxfordshire as Reading City’s 100% record came to a surprise end, City beaten 3-0 at Ardley United, Wantage Town’s 4-0 win at Abingdon United means the Freds go back to the top of the table.

Across in the Combined Counties League Division 1 Sandhurst Town continued their good run of form, a returning Charlie Oakley scoring twice at the Fizzers beat Cove 2-1. You can see the full results from Saturday here.
