All the goals in the opening half an hour as Binfield win on the road

Ian Davies and Sean Moore on target for the Moles at Lydney Town

Ian Davies scored a double as Binfield twice let their lead slip before Sean Moore scored the winner in a 3-2 Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division tie at Lydney Town on Saturday afternoon with all five goals coming in the opening 33 minutes.

The home side equalised twice but after Davies scored on 6 and 14 minutes before Moore’s 33rd minute winner while Ascot United, also in Gloucestershire lost 2-1 to Tuffley Rovers despite Dom Sullivan opening the scoring for the Yellamen.

In Division 1 East Virginia Water got back on track with a 2-1 win at Wallingford Town but there was frustration for AFC Aldermaston who reportedly saw visitors Thame Rangers reveal they were unable to field a side and hour and a half before kick off at the Rec Soc.

In the Thames Valley Premier League Berks County were beaten 2-1 by bottom side Taplow United at Bracknell Sport Centre.
