All but one of our local women’s teams had their games called off on Sunday across the Southern Region Women’s League and Thames Valley Counties Women’s League – the one game? Haddenham Ladies vs Sandhurst Town Ladies in the Berks & Bucks County Cup.

Heavy rain and snow across the region saw games fall by the wayside throughout Sunday morning but the Fizzers trip to Buckinghamshire was one that did go ahead.

Unfortunately for Sandhurst it finished in a 3-2 despite goals from Nicola Dixon and Lucy Passfield in difficult conditions as you’ll undoubtedly see from the picture of captain Shannon Mather posted on the clubs twitter feed.

Sandhurst have had a good season so far and lie fourth of nine teams in Division 2 East with at least two games in hand over the top three sides and boast the division’s top goalscorer in Shellie Irvine who has registered 24 goals in 13 games.
