Wednesday night road-trip for Finchampstead FC

Finchampstead head west tonight – to Wiltshire – as they face Shrivenham in the Bluefin Sports Hellenic Supplementary Cup Second Round.

The hosts have Premier Division experience but now play in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 West and are currently in tenth place.

It’s a good opportunity for Finch to test themselves against someone new with Jon Laugharne’s men currently second in Division 1 East but likely to fall one or two places once other teams have caught up on their games in hand.

Confidence will certainly be high with three wins in a row including a 6-0 victory last time out against Holyport courtesy of hat-tricks from Harry Swabey and Kylo Atkinson.

Shrivenham themselves have two wins and three 1-1 draws from their last five outings so it should be a really good tussle and only time will tell whether Division 1 East or Division 1West comes out on top.

Kick-off is at 7.45pm tonight.
