On this week’s episode of the Berkshire Football Chat podcast, Rob Davies headed up the chat once more alongside regulars Tom Canning and Abi Ticehurst to take you through the comings and goings of the Berkshire football scene as the season draws to a close.

Our resident women’s football expert, Abi, talked us through the huge blow to the Reading FC Women’s squad as Emma Harries confirmed a season-ending injury this week, meanwhile, a date for the TVCWF League and Plate Cup’s have been confirmed with Tilehurst Panthers the solo Berkshire side in action, as well as the Rivermoor playing host to the SRWFL cups and a tenuous link to the Women’s Euros.

Rob and Tom discussed some nail-biting weeks to come in the Combined Counties as Holyport find themselves in a relegation battle at one end and Wallingford and Eversley & California are in a playoff race at the other. In other news, an exciting weekend ahead as the Thames Valley Premier League title is likely to be decided as Finchampstead host Burghfield in a trip well worth making for a swift pint at Siren Craft Brew’s taproom before an exciting game of football.

And finally, don’t miss the almost excruciatingly long pause as Canning searches for Combined Counties Twitter activity, the audacity of Ascot Ladies Reserves striker Freya Johnson, an outrageous shot from Eversley’s Ross McKernan, a Thatcham Town shirt up for grabs for just a quid and all the other good stuff we ramble about each week.

Don’t forget you can keep up to date with all things Berkshire football by following us on Twitter @fiberkshire and @FiB_Women, on Instagram @fiberkshire and on Facebook by searching for ‘Football in Berkshire’ and there’s always the website for your perusal www.footballinberkshire.co.uk
