Our regular round up from the local media includes snippets from the Bracknell News, GloucestershireLive and Swindon Advertiser.
Dave Wright has reported in this weeks Bracknell News that former Bracknell Town manager Mark Tallentire has turned down the opportunity to take over the vacant role at Hellenic Premier Division side Flackwell Heath.
The Wilks Park side recently parted company with Paul Shone while Tallentire’s assistant at Bracknell – Geoff Warner, has recently left Larges Lane.
Also in the News, Ascot United are waiting on international clearance before striker Ben Harris can lead the fight against relegation while the Yellamen should have Matt Jones back shortly after 7 months out with injury.
The Bracknell News is out now at all good newsagents.
The Hellenic League could soon have another Gloucestershire side in it’s ranks if new Stonehouse Town boss Ian Soule’s ambitions are met according to GloucestershireLive.
Highworth Town boss Jeff Roberts believes the clubs last two fixtures have restored stability at the club after suffering a first league defeat and FA Vase exit recently.
Speaking in the Swindon Advertiser, Roberts said: “In the two games before that I just thought we had got too complacent. We got a bit lazy and weren’t pressuring people, so it was about getting a bit of confidence back in the lads really.
“The quality is there but the hard work has to come with it.”
And finally, you may have spotted it on twitter but Tony Incenzo made Bracknell Town his non-league team of the week following three big victories including an 8-0 FA Vase win on Saturday.
Listen to it here on TalkSport from 2 minutes – all the scorers mentioned.
